Do the thing! Even when you don’t feel like it
I’m sure that you might have experienced on more than one occasion, that dreaded feeling of “not now,” when everything seems to be on the line. The feeling can bring your dreams to a rapid stand still, and it can make you experience a feeling that makes it even harder to complete your task. In many cases it can feel like we get slammed with all our problems all at once, this is a hard time for any of us. I also understand that this could just be a simple phase that we might be experiencing at any given time in our lives.
It is easy to identify people that stand out, they seem to be doing so much, and the question arises, how can that person be doing so much? The answer is easy! They do the thing when they don’t feel like doing the thing. Knowing this can help you be one of the few out of the masses that stand out. When you do the thing and keep consistent with doing the thing, people will take notice. It is easy to have an excuse ready to save you from the discomfort of not doing your thing. I challenge you to examine your habits and discover the number of excuses you find yourself using. It is hard to do the thing when you don’t feel like doing the thing, this is when we need to do the thing the most.
Stepping into the role of someone of influence can be very hard if you have never done that job before. However, we see this happen time and time again in our society. The main reason for this type of success comes from working well with others. Many of the things that we depend on in our day to day lives comes from a cooperative arrangement of some sort. Yes, it is possible to do some of or even much of this yourself however, this would take up most or even all your time. My point with this is, we have a much more enjoyable life if we cooperate with others to maintain our daily needs.
Let’s take this to the next level now. When you want to do the thing, sometimes you will need help from others to accomplish this. Many of us that are self-starters, doers, and self-reliant can find it difficult to ask for help and this is one of the biggest mistakes that we can make. It is OK to ask for help! This is one way that we learn new skills, that in turn will help us make sure that our thing is fulfilled. As I stated earlier, you can find an excuse for anything. Remember, Doers Do!
So, I ask you, what is the thing that you want to do? Now I tell you, Do the thing, even when you don’t feel like doing the thing.
